Service Day Benefits Local Schools this Saturday

California’s public schools have been hit hard with budget cuts.  In responds to this and as part of the “Mormon Helping Hands” effort , approximately 500 local members will gather at three Sacramento schools to renew and beautify them this Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon.  Volunteers will be planting trees, bushes and flowers; weeding; cleaning playground equipment; and painting benches, building trim and parking lots.

The “Mormon Helping Hands” effort involves  more than 200,000 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints across the state of California who will be providing a community day of service this Saturday, April 30.
