Sacramento Self-Help Housing Invites Community to “Mix & Mingle” in Rancho Cordova on 10/22

Sacramento Self-Help Housing (SSHH), a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of homelessness in our region, is proud to announce a quarterly “Mix & Mingle” fundraising event on Thursday evening, October 22, 2015 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall in Rancho Cordova.  The mixer is coordinated in partnership with the Rancho Cordova Homeless Assistance Resource Team (HART), a group of dedicated community members -- congregations, businesses and individuals -- who care about the future of homelessness and are working together to provide resources to those in need.

Join the fun: Food, Music & Fireworks this Saturday at Cameron Park Lake

Advance ticket sales at Walgreens, Bel-Air, Food Bank, CSD Office and Shingle Springs Cameron Park Chamber.

$3 in advance, $5 at gate (cash only), children 6 and under are FREE.

This is a ticketed event. No ice chests larger than a six-can cooler.

No BBQs, glass bottles, alcohol or fireworks.

Parking available at the Airpark. Enter off Oxford and Fairway.

Rules will be strictly enforced. Event organizers reserve the right to refuse entry.

Ooh La La…Sacramento Self-Help Housing Presents 13th Annual “Let Them Eat Cake” on July 14

Sacramento Self-Help Housing, a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of homelessness in our region, is proud to present the 13th Annual “Let Them Eat Cake” in celebration of Bastille Day at The Grand Ballroom (1215 J Street in Sacramento) on Tuesday evening, July 14, 2015 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Music, dining and dessert lovers will indulge in a grand Bastille Day celebration with outstanding local cuisine, wines and beverages, cake tasting, soothing music and more.   Guests will enjoy listening to the sounds of the multi-talented musician Gabe Dixon and the dynamic Tender Cinders Band while viewing and bidding on artwork created by some of the region’s most exciting and groundbreaking new artists.  Each year, the “Let Them Eat Cake” fundraising event is scheduled on or near Bastille Day (note that Marie Antoinette is credited with coining the memorable “Let Them Eat Cake” phrase shortly before the Fren
