Arden Hills Offers a Complimentary Wellness Seminar on Physiotherapy

Arden Hills Offers a Complimentary Wellness Seminar on Physiotherapy

Let’s get physical!

Physiotherapy -- or better known as physical therapy -- is the treatment of any pain, disease or injury by physical means.  This approach is often preferable to treating pain with over-the-counter medicines or prescription
drugs that can simply mask that underlying problem and cause unwanted side effects.  If you want to learn about therapies that reduce inflammation and help to quickly and efficiently rehabilitate disc and rotator cuff injuries, don’t miss the next complimentary Wellness Education Seminar at  Arden Hills on Wednesday, August 19 at 6 p.m.

Our Wellness team doctors are committed to providing helpful tips and information to help you achieve and maintain a healthy, happy and well-balanced life.  For more information the Wellness Education Seminar, please call 916-482-6111 or visit www.ardenhills.me

M&M Senior Living Open House in Orangevale on Wednesday, 7/15!

Owners of M&M Senior Living, a new and unique 16-bed assisted living facility in Orangevale, are hosting a complimentary Open House on Wednesday evening, July 15, from 4 to 8 p.m.   In addition to its boutique size and welcoming feel, what sets it apart is that one of the business owners is a family physician -- Dr. Mark DeBruin -- who has a medical practice nearby, helps to oversee the facility and stops by on a nearly daily or as-needed basis.

Offering a high quality of care for residents, a few highlights of M&M Senior Living include the following:

Kaiser Permanente in Greater Sacramento has awarded 56 grants totaling nearly $1.5 million to 54 local not-for-profit organizations, schools and government entities. The grants seek to improve access to medical care, support mental health services, reduce violence, develop the workforce and promote healthy eating and active living.

The Community Benefit grants – which range in individual amounts from $5,000 to $97,304 – are part of a longstanding practice for Kaiser Permanente, the region’s leading integrated health-care provider, which works to improve the health of the communities it serves in Sacramento, Yolo, Placer and El Dorado counties.

The largest allocation of funding will help the uninsured and underinsured access health care programs and services at various community clinics and organizations.

But other grants help to improve overall community health, especially access to healthy food.
